About Us
Founded by Wongutha man Travis Akbar, Nyawa Pictures is a 100% First Nations owned film production company. Travis grew up on Wirangu Country in South Australia and now resides on Peramangk Country in the Adelaide Hills.
He is an award-winning filmmaker who has worked on projects in Australia and abroad.
